Nothing Says Distraction Like Historical Research.

Opportunities for distraction don't often appear randomly, we seek them out. I started this blog while I was in school and in a state of constant research. I was always distracted by one topic or another and as a result my adventures into historical writing never really had a clear path. With some distance from school I think now is the time to revisit my passion for the discipline of history. How I hope it will manifest itself is through well researched posts about my favourite history, colonial history. Knowing myself I doubt that I will be able to follow that plan and will likely get distracted by other branches of history and book reviews. I also suspect I would run out of subject matter very quickly if I limited myself to colonial history, regardless of my keen interest in it. For now onward with the research for my first post.
